The Arkan Clinical Corps
A selective, three-year clinical training program for high school and college students in the Research Triangle. Corps members train monthly, earn real clinical licensure, deploy in the field alongside licensed clinicians, and rise into leadership over junior classes. Roughly 20 seats per cycle.
The program at a glance
- Three years: Year 1 foundations and BLS, Year 2 licensure (EMT, CNA, MA, DA, or higher) and field deployment, Year 3 senior duties including leading junior squads.
- Clinical Skills Sundays, 12:00–2:00 PM, one to two hours monthly, plus 10–15 field deployment hours per year.
- Taught by practicing physicians, residents, charge nurses, paramedics, and licensed clinicians in the Arkan Clinician Network.
- Attendance and academic standards are enforced; the program is small and demanding by design.
